Stratophone – Laminated safety glass with noise insulation

Laminated safety glass consists of two or more sheets of glass and one or more acoustic interlayers (PVB films). If the glass breaks, most of the fragments stick to the PVB film. The composition of the glass ensures mechanical strength of the glass and the acoustic foil complements the safety function with an increased level of acoustic insulation. Stratophone provides the same safety protection as Stratobel.

The anti-noise properties of Stratophone glazing are achieved thanks to a special acoustic PVB film, which acts as noise insulation inside the glazing. The greater the acoustic insulation, the more you experience a positive impact on your living comfort.

Noise protection is measured in accordance with current European standards, from low-frequency noise from slow traffic to higher sound frequencies e.g. generated by playing children.

Depending on the requirements for the combination of safety and increased sound insulation with certain glass thicknesses and the number of PVB interlayers, this glass, with a fully transparent appearance, can be used for glazed facades or interior design projects.

Stratophone has been awarded the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Silver certificate. By actively using Cradle to Cradle-certified products, architects, designers and planners obtain so-called LEED credits. Moreover, in the LEED and BREEAM systems, you can receive points under three main themes: Natural lighting, thermal comfort and energy efficiency.
