AGC FLAT GLASS CZECH A.S. RECEIVED THE GOVERNOR'S AWARD FOR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, AGC Flat Glass Czech a.s. received the Governor's Award for Social Responsibility of the Ústí Region, winning in the category of large enterprises with more than 250 employees. Other awarded organizations in this category included: Chart Ferox, a.s., Indorama Ventures Mobility Bohemia s.r.o., MALFINI, a.s., Mondi Štětí a.s., SPOLCHEMIE – Association for Chemical and Metallurgical Production, a.s., TRCZ s.r.o.
The aim of the competition is to recognize organizations in the region that are active in the field of social responsibility. Responsible behavior represents the voluntary assumption of co-responsibility for the well-being and sustainable development of modern society. Socially responsible organizations prioritize compliance with legal obligations and go beyond them by applying responsible and ethical behavior towards their surroundings. This strategy strengthens the organization's credibility in the eyes of customers, partners, and society as a whole and becomes an important non-financial indicator of the organization's performance.
The mission of the Governor's Award for Social Responsibility is to support social responsibility and sustainable development through feedback provided to organizations by an independent evaluator. Organizations thus gain an objective view of their level of social responsibility fulfillment and can serve as a good example for other organizations. The Governor's Award for Social Responsibility raises social awareness of what social responsibility means and its significance and purpose in practical life.
AGC Flat Glass Czech a.s. has managed to win in one of the main categories of the eighth edition of this competition, organized by the Economic and Social Council of the Ústí Region together with the Ústí Region and the Quality Council of the Czech Republic, for the fifth time in its history.
The company FK Teplice a.s. also achieved significant success. In the category of small enterprises with up to 50 employees, it managed to win for the third time.
